Electralogics Inc. were a Canadian firm that made a few S-100 boards
(RAM/ROM boards) however their real claim to fame was their "Quasi-Disk"
which came out in 1983. This was a very reasonably priced memory disk with
some excellent associated software. The were located in
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Some of their earlier advertisements say they
were "Represented by" Integrand of Visalia, CA in the US.
They had a early lead in the field before the concept became widespread and
for a short time the market was split between them and
SemiDisk.
Currently I have no further information about the company, its founders or
what happened to them. There is currently a company of the same name in
nearby Fergus, Ontario that makes touch screen terminals and software for
the Quick Service industry -- perhaps that's what they evolved into. If you have information you would like to share
please let me know.
